Who is Trophy Wife???

“While fitting the bill via calling on the emotionally heavy, alt-pop roots of her predecessors, she is determinedly carving out her own distinct path with each release and is already armed with a solid library of tracks that anyone could consider gospel.” – Erin Christie, Penny Mag

Trophy Wife -the twenty-two year old Newtown, Connecticut native McKenzie Iazzetta- is an indie rock artist currently based in Boston, MA. Started in 2019 with the release of “The People’s Sweater.” After two years of growing and evolving her sound while maintaining her role as a staple in the Boston DIY scene she released her second EP “Bruiser”, recorded at Ashlawn Farms in Lyme, CT not too far from where she grew up. Inspired by the women of Lilith Fair and a heavy dose of grunge, Trophy Wife has put into words the ugly feelings of growing up. She has been featured on local Boston radio stations like WERS and WTBU and has also been featured in the same publications as artists like Lala Lala and Indigo De Souza. Recently, she has received press from HerCampus, Penny Magazine, and Groupie Mag.  “…without fail a neon sign is pitched above us that reads: ‘Tender Heart Cares A Lot.” -Groupie Mag.
